WHO WE ARE

Iman Kholdebarin, Esq., MPH is the founding attorney of Barin Law Group, advising clients across the full spectrum of intellectual property law, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and technology licensing. His practice spans patent prosecution, post-grant proceedings, litigation, freedom-to-operate analyses, and ITC proceedings. He also represents clients in commercial litigation and contract disputes, bringing the same analytical precision and strategic insight to business controversies as he does to complex IP matters. A former Primary Patent Examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Mr. Kholdebarin combines deep technical expertise with strategic legal judgment to help innovators and businesses protect, enforce, and commercialize their intellectual property assets.

He is admitted to practice in Virginia, California, the District of Columbia, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the Immigration Court. Before founding Barin Law Group, he practiced with leading international law firms, where he represented Fortune 500 corporations and emerging technology companies in complex patent and commercial disputes, as well as cross-border IP transactions. Mr. Kholdebarin earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, an M.P.H. in Health Policy and Management from UCLA, and Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering from UC Irvine.
